Liberty man arrested on sexual assault charges

LIBERTY, Ill. — A Liberty man is lodged without bond in the Adams County Jail and faces two counts of predatory criminal sexual assault.
The Adams County Sheriff’s Office received a report on Sunday about a possible sexual abuse of a child. Investigators worked with the Advocacy Network for Children and Illinois Department of Children and Family Services to look into the allegations.
Adams County deputies arrested Timothy C. McConnell, 39, of Liberty at his home Monday afternoon.
