Quincy Area Cat Coalition

QUINCY — The Quincy Area Community Cat Coalition will host its first fundraising event from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. March 12 at the Quincy Holiday Inn, 4821 Oak.

Whiskey, Wine and Whiskers is a unique event to raise funds for the new organization’s trap, neuter and return program for feral cats. Admission is $30, which provides a monogrammed glass for tasting the various whiskeys and wines that will be offered (you will keep the glass). Tony’s Too will provide food to enjoy. Very sought-after bottles of wine and bourbons will be auctioned. A raffle of a unique jewelry piece created especially for the event by Vince Udry of Dame Hurdle and Company, along with other items will be conducted.

Tickets are available at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/whiskey-wine-and-whiskers-tickets-231246503517 or by contacting the coalition through email.

The Quincy Area Community Cat Coalition is a nonprofit organization dedicated to humanely reducing the community cat population by non-lethal means. The coalition’s goal is to reduce nuisance behaviors of community cats, stabilize existing cat colonies and provide community awareness through education.

Since its inception in June 2020, the coalition has provided free spay neuter and vaccinations for colonies of feral and community cats. It has assisted with winter housing, food and education on nuisance mitigation by partnering with the Quincy Humane Society and veterinary clinics in Quincy.
