Local wedding planner acquires event space at Dick Brothers Brewery Complex
QUINCY — Wedding planner Amy Deters, owner of Above & Beyond by Amy, recently acquired the event space at the Dick Brothers Brewery complex on York Street between Ninth and 10th.
The event space, previously known as DB2 Events, will be renamed as Dick Brothers Events. Ownership of the brewery is unaffected.
Above & Beyond by Amy says on its website that it is a boutique-style wedding management company that works with clients to eliminate being overburdened and overwhelmed with wedding planning. The acquisition of the event space in the brewery complex allows Deters to have an option for event planning, wedding coordination, corporate events and other special occasions.
“I am thrilled to take on Dick Brothers Events and be a part of such a rich historical space,” Deters said in a press release. “I’m looking forward to blending the charm of the Dick Brothers Brewery complex with the modern elegance and personal touches that my clients have come to expect from Above & Beyond by Amy. This new venture allows me to further support my passion for event planning, and I am excited to create unforgettable moments for our community.”
Joi Austin, co-owner of the Dick Brothers Brewery Complex and co-owner of DB2 Events, is enthusiastic about the transition.
“Amy Deters is a wonderful choice to lead the transformation of DB2 Events into Dick Brothers Events,” she said. “Her passion for event planning and her dedication to her clients have made her one of the best in the business. We are confident that Amy will honor the legacy of the venue while bringing her unique touch to the table.”
