Mega Raffle offering $100,000 grand prize; proceeds to benefit Catholic elementary schools, QND

Mega Raffle

QUINCY — The Quincy Catholic Elementary Schools Foundation and Quincy Notre Dame Foundation will kick off the 11th annual “Everybody Wins” Mega Raffle on April 6. Since its inception, the Mega Raffle has raised more than $2 million to support tuition assistance, technology updates and more to Quincy’s five Catholic schools.

“As we embark on our 11th year, I want to thank those who have purchased tickets in the past and supported this tremendous fundraiser,” QND Foundation Executive Director Kurt Stuckman said. “These funds have enabled us to make a significant difference in the lives of many families through financial aid and enhancements in our schools. The goal of the QND and QCES foundations are to collaboratively support the educational process of our students, and these funds go a long way in assisting us in doing so.”

Forty-two prizes awarded throughout the raffle period. The grand prize is $100,000, second prize is $20,000, and the third-place prize is $10,000. These top prizes, along with 32 others, will be announced at the Mega Drawing on June 11 at the St. Francis Picnic. Winners need not be present to win.

The raffle also will award a $25,000 Super-Early Bird prize, the second largest prize in the raffle. All ticket sellers and purchasers are eligible for this prize. To qualify, tickets must be turned into the QND Foundation by 4 p.m. April 29 or before tickets sell out. Tickets for the raffle sold out before this deadline last year, so sellers and purchases are encouraged to turn tickets in as soon as possible. This drawing will take place live on 97.9 KICK-FM on May 20.

Six Early Bird drawings will award $500 to two winners each on May 27, June 3 and June 10. All Super and Early Bird drawings will be broadcast live on 97.9 KICK-FM at 8:30 a.m.

“Quincy has a long-standing tradition of high-quality, faith-driven Catholic education, and that’s due to the incredible support of our parishes and community,” QCES Foundation Executive Director Sara Reuschel said. “We are thankful for those who participate in the Mega Raffles and support our schools through other means of stewardship. It gives us the ability to ensure students have access to Catholic education regardless of financial ability.”

Tickets will be sold by the Quincy Catholic Elementary Schools and Quincy Notre Dame families. They also are available in the Gene Grawe Fund office in the lobby of St. Peter Church and online at QuincyMegaRaffle.org beginning April 6.

Four thousand tickets are sold. The cost is $100 per ticket. With each $100 ticket purchase, $10 will be donated back to Blessed Sacrament, St. Dominic, St. Francis, St. Peter or Quincy Notre Dame, at the discretion of the ticket buyer.

For questions or more information, contact Reuschel in the QCES Foundation office at 217-779-3157 or Stuckman in the QND Foundation office at 217-224-2598.
