QUINCY — A Mendon man was arrested Friday in connection with multiple recently reported burglaries.

The Adams County Sheriff’s Department took a report on Oct. 1 of a burglary from Adams Fiber in the 4600 block of North 42nd Street and a theft report from Quincy Peterbilt in the 4100 block of Koch’s Lane.

A subject was caught on video after midnight on Sept. 27 taking a piece of equipment from an Adams Fiber work trailer valued at $31,000. The same subject also was seen on video taking items from a metal dumpster owned by Quincy Peterbilt.

With assistance from the Quincy Police Department’s Flock license plate reader system, a suspect was developed. A traffic stop on Oct. 4 by the Quincy Police Department led to the arrest of Joshua J. Koehler, 29, of Mendon by the Adams County Sheriff’s Department.

Koehler has been charged with burglary, theft over $10,000 and theft under $500. He was lodged in the Adams County jail and, after booking, was released on a notice to appear with a future court date.

The stolen $31,000 piece of equipment was recovered and returned to Adams Fiber. The items from Quincy Peterbilt have not been recovered as of Sunday morning.
