Monroe City woman injured in Friday morning crash when SUV goes off side of road

WARREN, Mo. — A Monroe City woman was injured Friday morning when her SUV left the road and hit an embankment in Marion County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the crash happened at 8:10 a.m. on Friday, May 23, along Highway C, one mile west of Warren. A 2019 Ford Explorer, driven by a 28-year-old woman from Monroe City, was traveling westbound when it went off the side of the road. The driver overcorrected, causing the SUV to travel off the opposite side of the road.
The woman, who was wearing a seat belt, sustained minor injuries and was transported by Monroe City Ambulance to Hannibal Regional Hospital.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Department assisted at the scene.
