Moore to be sworn in as Quincy’s next mayor on Sunday

QUINCY — The City of Quincy is inviting the public to the swearing in of Linda K. Moore as mayor.

The inauguration ceremony will also recognize the newly elected Quincy City Council members and other city officials.

The event will take place from 3:00 to 5:30 p.m. in Washington Park and is free and open to all community members.

Guests are invited to enjoy an afternoon of live music, children’s activities, volunteer sign-up opportunities, and a meet-and-greet with the newly elected officials. Food trucks will be available, and attendees are encouraged to bring their own food, beverages, and lawn chairs

“This is more than just a ceremony — it’s a celebration of Quincy’s bright future,” Moore said. “Together, we are writing the next chapter in our city’s rich history, built on unity, opportunity, and hope. I invite everyone to join us as we step forward into this new era, hand in hand.”
