QUINCY — Several non-compliant sex offenders and violent offenders against children recently have been sentenced to the Illinois Department of Corrections.

A report from the Quincy Police Department showed each person listed below had been on parole, probation or pretrial release for previous arrests and convictions as they continued committing violations for failure to register and/or possession of meth.

Adams County court records show three had been given a chance at probation from earlier arrests, but continued violations and new arrests led all of their probation sentences to be revoked.

The following were sentenced to IDOC:

Ray E. Golden, 32, Quincy: Sentenced on Feb. 3 to 4 1/2 years in the IDOC for failure to register as a sex offender and petition to revoke probation from a previous failure to register conviction.

Bruce K. Dyer, 53, Quincy: Sentenced on March 10 to 12 years in IDOC for several counts of failure to register as a violent offender against youth and possession of meth.

Richard J. Walker, 35, Quincy: Sentenced on March 13 to 8 years in IDOC for several counts of failure to register as a sex offender. While on pretrial release for a previous violation, Walker fled to Missouri and was apprehended after a short standoff with Quincy detectives and Missouri law enforcement at a residence in La Grange, Mo., in February 2025.

Lawrence K. Eichler, 43, Quincy: Sentenced on April 4 to 5 1/2 years in IDOC for several counts of failure to register as a sex offender and possession of meth.
