Narcotics sweep nets multiple arrests

On July 19, the Quincy Police Department in a coordinated effort with the Illinois State Police, Adams County Sheriff’s Department, Springfield (Ill.) Police Department and West Central Illinois Task Force, conducted a narcotics detail. The narcotics detail was aimed at targeting the possession and distribution of narcotics in Quincy and Adams County.

During the detail, the following individuals were arrested:

Jermaine Countryman of Quincy was arrested on a United States federal arrest warrant for probation violation. Countryman was also arrested on a new charge of possession of methamphetamine.

Ryan Douglas of Quincy was arrested on a United States Federal arrest warrant for probation violation.

Olivia Wiemelt of Quincy was arrested by the Hannibal Police Department on an Adams County warrant for Theft over $100,000.

Blake Woosley of Quincy was arrested for an Adams County warrant for Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance and Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Victor Armstrong of Quincy was arrested for an Adams County warrant for Possession of Methamphetamine.

Andrew Romo of Hannibal was arrested on an Adams County traffic warrant and for a new charge of Possession of Methamphetamine.

Briana Foster of Quincy was arrested on an Adams County warrant for Possession of Methamphetamine.
