QUINCY — Buff City Soap, a rapidly growing retail franchise known for its handmade plant-based soap and body products made in-store daily, is opening Thursday, June 16 in Quincy next to Kohl’s at 6236 Broadway.
The first 50 people who visit the Quincy store each day from Thursday, June 16 to Sunday, June 19 will receive free soap for a year. Customers also can also enjoy in-store specials all weekend, such as 20 percent off an entire purchase or buying one laundry soap and getting a second container 50 percent off.
For opening weekend only, the Quincy store hours will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.
“We are excited to open our brand-new soap makery to the Quincy community,” Director of Operations Brittany Peterman said in a press release. “Buff City Soap provides guests with an opportunity to see how our delightfully scented soap products are made daily right before their eyes.”
Each Buff City Soap store offers more than 30 signature scents across dozens of handcrafted soap products, such as soap bars, bath bombs, foaming hand soap and laundry soap. The brand’s products are crafted by local artisans so guests can experience the entire soap-making process.
“Our customers love the transparency of our soap-making process, because it’s the magic behind the Buff City Soap experience,” Peterman said. “All of our products are handmade with plant-based ingredients and free of harsh chemicals, so you can feel good about what you’re putting on your skin.”
After getting its start as the Bartlett Soap Co. in 2013 in Memphis, Tenn., Buff City Soap moved its corporate offices to Dallas in 2020. It now has more than 215 stores in more than 30 states.
The Buff City Soap franchise also owns nearby stores in Edwardsville and St. Louis.
