Nebo man arrested for filing a false police report and violating sex offender act
NEBO, Ill. — A Nebo man was arrested Friday and lodged in the Pike County Jail for three offenses.
The investigation began on Jan. 9 when Scott E. Bricking, 51, came to the Pike County Sheriff’s Department to report his involvement in a crime. The Pike County Sheriff’s Department investigated the crime Bricking had reported and found no evidence supporting the crime that had occurred.
The Pike County Sheriff’s Department conducted a follow-up interview with Bricking on Jan. 13, and he admitted to lying about the crime which he reported. Additional information was obtained from Bricking regarding a violation of the Illinois Sex Offender Registration Act.
Bricking was arrested for violating of the Illinois Sex Offender Registration Act, obstructing justice and filing a false police report.
