One injured in two-vehicle crash on U.S. 36 east of Monroe City

MONROE CITY, Mo. — A two-vehicle crash on U.S. 36, one mile east of Monroe City in Ralls County, injured one man on the morning of April 18.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the crash happened at 5:25 a.m. on April 18 when a 2015 Ford F-150 struck the rear of a 2024 Dodge cargo van. Both vehicles were traveling east at the time.

The driver of the Dodge van, a 46-year-old man from Columbus, Ohio, was transported by Monroe City Ambulance to Hannibal Regional Hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the Ford, a 20-year-old man from Palmyra, Missouri, was uninjured.

The Monroe City Rural Fire Department, Monroe City Police Department, Monroe City Ambulance and the Ralls County Sheriff’s Department assisted.
