One person injured Monday in traffic accident at intersection of 12th Street, U.S. 24
QUINCY — One person was injured in a two-vehicle traffic crash on Monday.
Deputies with the Adams County Sheriff’s Department responded to the crash (the time was not noted in a press release) at the intersection of 12th Street and U.S. 24. Matthew Fleck was driving a black 2019 Dodge minivan south on U.S. 24. Angela Hendrix was stopped in her black 2021 Honda passenger car at the intersection of 12th Street and U.S. 24.
Hendrix’s Honda pulled into the intersection, striking Fleck’s minivan. Hendrix’s car came to rest in the intersection, and Fleck’s minivan came to rest on the west side of U.S. 24. Because of the damage to Fleck’s minivan, he was extracted and transported to the emergency room at Blessing Hospital with minor injuries. Hendrix refused treatment on the scene.
Hendrix was issued a ticket for failure to yield at a stop intersection.
The Tri-Township Fire Department and the Adams County Ambulance Service assisted the sheriff’s department.
