Palmyra brothers arrested for meth possession, intent to distribute also charged with child endangerment

PALMYRA, Mo. — Two Palmyra men were arrested Tuesday after the Palmyra Police Department, in conjunction with other law enforcement officials, executed a search warrant at 309 W. Jefferson in Palmyra.

During the search, officers uncovered a significant quantity of illegal substances, including methamphetamine, along with paraphernalia consistent with drug distribution. Law enforcement also discovered evidence indicating a child was living in the premises where the illegal activities were taking place. 

Travis M. Rice, 50, and Garret T. Rice, 45, brothers who reside at the location, were taken into custody and have been charged with:

  • Possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute.
  • Trafficking.
  • Child endangerment.
  • Receiving stolen property.

The Palmyra Police Department was assisted by the Marion County Sheriff’s Department, the East Central Narcotic Task Force and the Missouri Highway Patrol.

Both men are lodged in the Marion County Jail.
