Perry-Broekemeier selected as executive director of YWCA

QUINCY — The YWCA of Quincy recently hired Quincy-resident Erica Perry-Broekemeier to be the agency’s executive director.
“The board of directors is convinced that Erica will provide both the stability and community outreach that will enable the YWCA to continue to impact supportive housing needs in the Quincy community,” Selena Stegeman, president of the YWCA board, said in a press release.
An accomplished grant writer, Perry-Broekemeier has a track record of program management and volunteer engagement. She replaces Ryan Roberts, who left the YWCA to pursue other opportunities.
“As a Quincy native, I have always been inspired by the strength and generosity of this community. Quincy is a place where people support one another, and I am honored to step into the role of executive director at the YWCA to continue that tradition. With a heart for nonprofit work and a passion for serving others, I look forward to working alongside our team to empower individuals and families,” Perry-Broekemeier said.
The YWCA of Quincy provides supportive housing services for nearly more than 70 people through 35 properties. Supportive housing includes affordable housing with services to help people with disabilities, low incomes, domestic abuse, or behavioral health disorders live independently. The YWCA helps people gain the skills and support needed to become independent and break the cycle of homelessness.
