Perry woman killed in single-vehicle crash Sunday night in Pike County

FAIRMOUNT TOWNSHIP, Ill. — A Perry woman was killed in a vehicle crash Sunday night.

Deputies with the Pike County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched at 7:21 p.m. Sunday, April 28, to a single-unit vehicle crash near 37737 Perry Fishhook Road in Fairmount Township. 

The driver of the vehicle, Kickstart McCollum, 33, of Perry, was transported by ambulance to Illini Community Hospital in Pittsfield, where she was later pronounced dead. 

The cause of the crash is still under investigation by the Pike County Sheriff’s Department.

Assisting at the scene were the North-Pike Fire Department, Baylis Fire Department, Griggsville Fire Department, Pike County EMS, Air Evac and Illinois Rural Electric.
