Pittsfield man sentenced to six years, six months in prison for sexual abuse of family member under age 18
PITTSFIELD, Ill. — A Pittsfield man was sentenced to six years and six months in the Illinois Department of Corrections on Thursday after pleading guilty to aggravated criminal sexual abuse of a family member under the age of 18.
Dylan C. Guthrie, 20, was arrested in May 2022 by deputies with the Pike County Sheriff’s Department after an investigation by the Pike County Sheriff’s Department, the Department of Child and Family Services and the Children’s Advocacy Network into a sexual assault in Pittsfield that allegedly occurred in April 2022.
Guthrie was charged with three Class X felonies of predatory criminal sexual assault involving someone under age 13. If found guilty by a jury, he could have been sentenced to between six and 30 years on each charge. However, all 3 Class X felonies were dropped as part of the plea agreement.
He was given credit for 889 days served in the Pike County Jail. He also must register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
