Priscilla Block, Lonestar headline two-day country-themed concerts May 25-26 in Lincoln Park

Gem City Summer Concert Series

QUINCY — Country music performers Priscilla Block and Lonestar are the headliners for the Gem City Concert Series set for May 25-26 in Lincoln Park on the riverfront.

The May 25 event offers a “new” country lineup. Block gives her rabid fan base unmitigated honesty in songs like “Thick Thighs,” “PMS” and “Just About Over You.” She celebrated her first No. 1 on country radio in 2022 with “You, Me, and Whiskey,” a Gold-certified hit with country star Justin Moore.

Joining Block on May 25 is Restless Road, “one of the most intriguing and exciting acts of the year” according to Wide Open Country. Restless Road has been Praised by People, Taste of Country, Billboard and others. The band’s harmonies and lyrics have accumulated more than 235 million cumulative career streams and amassed a following of more than 4.2 million on its social media platforms. Recording artist Kelsey Hart will open the show.

The May 26 event offers “traditional” country music. Lonestar has multiple top hits and won several awards, such as from the Academy of Country Music Awards for New Vocal Group, Single and Song of The Year. Lonestar has sold more than 10.5 million records since its formation.

Opening for Lonestar is Easton Corbin, whose memorable baritone and blend of traditional and modern country music has been on stage for more than a decade. Also opening the show is Drew Baldridge, who has garnered more than 350 million streams worldwide and has had more than 300 million plays on TikTok with his hit, “She’s Somebody’s Daughter.”

“Not only are we looking forward to the shows, but we put this together so that people from outside the area can come to town and experience what the Quincy area offers,” said Scott Edlin, owner of On the Rail Sports Bar & Grill and coordinator of the concert series, in a press release. “Come for the weekend and catch some great shows, eat at great restaurants in the area and enjoy Quincy.”

The gates will open at 6 p.m. and music will begin at 7 p.m. for each concert. Drink and food vendors will be on-site each night.

General admission and VIP pit tickets (the section closest to the stage) are available. General admission tickets will be discounted by $5 each (both days) until Friday, March 29th. A two-day pass at a discounted rate will be available. Tickets will be available online at www.gemcityconcerts.com or in person at On the Rail in Quincy.

Coordinators announced in February the lineup for rock concerts on June 21-22.  Sevendust out of Atlanta is the headline act on June 21, with 10 Years and Adelitas Way as the opening acts. Buckcherry out of Anaheim, Calif., headlines the June 22 concert, with Saliva and Drowning Pool as the opening acts.
