Quincy Art Center appoints Hite as executive director; Teter moves to role as curator

QUINCY — The Quincy Art Center recently announced the appointment of Sandra Hite as its new executive director. Hite started in her new role on Feb. 26.

A Quincy native, Hite has gained global recognition through her leadership roles in top international schools worldwide.

“We are thrilled to welcome Sandra to the Quincy Art Center family,” QAC Board President Pasha Yates said in a press release. “Her vision, energy, leadership and commitment to artistic excellence will propel our organization forward as we continue to enrich our community through the power of art.”

“I’m deeply honored to be joining the Quincy Art Center as executive director,” Hite said. “I look forward to collaborating with board, staff, volunteers, artists and community partners to build upon the Art Center’s legacy of excellence in fostering creativity and cultural enrichment in our community.”

Jennifer Teter, the executive director for the past 9 1/2 years, has transitioned to the role of museum curator.
