Quincy home on North 12th Street damaged when vehicle crashes into it Friday morning

QUINCY — A Quincy home was damaged Friday morning when a vehicle crashed into the side of it.

Deputies with the Adams County Sheriff’s Department responded at 7:52 a.m. Friday to a report of a traffic crash where a vehicle had struck a house in the 4000 block of North 12th Street. Amy Miller was driving a 2008 Saturn Vue southbound on North 12th when it left the right side of the road. Miller traveled approximately 400 feet before striking the side of an occupied residence.

Miller was transported to Blessing Hospital by ambulance with moderate injuries. A passenger, Cody Robertson, was transported by ambulance with serious injuries. The occupants of the home were not injured. The house took serious damage, mostly to the foundation.

Miller was issued a citation for improper lane usage with the potential for more charges pending lab results. The crash remains under investigation.
