Quincy Humane Society kicks off Home for the Holidays campaign

QUINCY — Quincy Humane Society has kicked off its Home for the Holidays campaign, giving the community an opportunity to donate, support and adopt.

Quincy Humane Society’s giving tree is decorated with various items from its wish list. Visitors can pick an ornament or two off the tree and bring the listed items back to the shelter to fill a donation bin.

A Happy PAW-lidays open house is set from 1-2:30 p.m. Dec. 12. The open house will give the community a chance to visit. The kennel is filled with dogs, puppies, kittens and cats. Approved applicants can unwrap the exciting adoption specials going on through the end of the year.

Applications are open for the Quincy Humane Society’s annual Holiday Breakout event. Members of the community who can’t adopt but want to give a shelter animal a break from the kennel environment can take home a furry friend for the holiday starting Dec. 20 and return the animal after Dec. 26.

“We have so many different exciting ways to engage the community this holiday season with exciting announcements happening daily,” executive director Pilar Brumbaugh said.
