Quincy man dies in motorcycle/vehicle crash Tuesday night on Gardner Expressway

QUINCY — A Quincy man died Tuesday night after a crash involving a motorcycle and a vehicle on Gardner Expressway.

Illinois State Police Troop 6 responded to a two-unit crash near 750 North involving a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle. The driver of the motorcycle, Nathen Jaymes Fox, 20, was pronounced deceased by Adams County Coroner Scott Graham at the scene. A passenger on the motorcycle was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.  

The road was shut down and reopened at approximately 2:40 a.m.  

The death/accident remains under investigation by the Adams County Coroner’s Office, Illinois State Police and the Adams County Sheriff’s Department.
