Quincy man facing criminal sexual abuse charges after allegedly having sex with 14-year-old female
QUINCY — A Quincy man was arrested Aug. 18 and charged with aggravated criminal sexual abuse.
Detectives with the Quincy Police Department initiated an investigation on Aug. 5 after a complaint was made that Zion A. Byrd-White, 24, was engaging in sexual intercourse with a 14-year-old female. During the investigation, a search warrant was executed at Byrd-White’s residence and multiple interviews were conducted. The investigation eventually led to the arrest of Byrd-White on Aug. 18.
Byrd-White also was arrested for an unrelated Adams County arrest warrant for failure to appear on a charge of manufacture/delivery of cannabis. He remains lodged in the Adams County Jail.
