Quincy man with numerous felony convictions charged with possession of firearm by felon

QUINCY — A Quincy man was lodged in the Adams County Jail Wednesday night when Quincy Police Department officers arrested him for having a gun — and then learned he had numerous felony convictions.

Officers were dispatched to the 600 block of Lind Street at approximately 6:25 p.m. Wednesday in reference to a subject with a gun. Upon arrival, officers made contact with Aaron Agnew, 41, who matched the description of the subject with the firearm. Officers located a loaded firearm on Agnew’s person.

Agnew was charged as an armed habitual criminal and with possession of firearm by a felon.
