Quincy University homecoming activities kick off Thursday with parade and Balloon Glow

QUINCY — Quincy University will host its annual homecoming weekend Thursday through Sunday, Sept. 26–29, with numerous events planned for alumni, students and the community.

Festivities kick off at 6 p.m. on Thursday with the homecoming parade and the annual Balloon Glow, which features hot air balloons on Friar’s Field and many food and beverage vendors.

Weekend events include favorites like volleyball games, tailgating and the homecoming football game on Saturday. New this year is the Party on Penny Lane from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday.

The annual alumni dinner Saturday night in the Hall of Fame Room will recognize the 2024 reunion classes of 1964, 1969, 1974, 1979, 1984, 1989, 1994, 1999, 2004, 2009, 2014 and 2019. The university will recognize its Distinguished Alumni of the Year and recipients of the Franciscan Service Award and Rising Hawk Award.
