QU’s Gray Gallery to be site of faculty studio art exhibition
QUINCY — Quincy University’s Gray Gallery in Brenner Library will be the site of a faculty studio art exhibition, beginning Monday, Aug. 23. The exhibition is free and open to the public. An artist reception will be from 4-5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 24, the final day of the exhibition.
“It is fitting that the QU art faculty share with current and new students their recent creations, exhibiting the importance of being a practicing artist,” Robert Lee Mejer, distinguished professor of art and Gray Gallery curator, said in a prepared statement.
The exhibit will feature the visual works of full-and part-time faculty, showcasing painting, drawing, photography, printmaking and ceramics. Professors are Mejer, Peggy Burchaed-Ballard, David Maas, Gary Teacher, Ruth Ann Pfaffe Snowden and Karl Warma.
