Rushville man arrested for child solicitation, grooming
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – A Rushville man was arrested on multiple charges for allegedly traveling to meet and have sex with a 14-year-old girl.
The Illinois State Police arrested Dallas Wilcoxen, 30, for Traveling to Meet a Child
(Class 3 Felony), Indecent Solicitation of a Child (Class 4 Felony), and Grooming (Class 4
Felony).
On October 19, the ISP Division of Criminal Investigation was contacted by the Rushville Police Department to investigate a report that Wilcoxen was communicating with minor females online.
On Monday, November 6, Wilcoxen was arrested in Beardstown after he traveled there
allegedly to meet a 14-year-old female for sex.
Wilcoxen was taken to the Schuyler County Jail and is being held pending a detention hearing. The West Central Illinois Task Force also assisted in the investigation, which remains open.
