Rushville man gets 30 months probation, has two Class X felonies dismissed as part of plea agreement

VERSAILLES, Ill. — A Rushville man facing two Class X felonies for the manufacture and delivery of more than 5,000 grams of cannabis pled guilty this week to lesser charges.
Jack O. Flachs, 23, appeared in Brown County Circuit Court with attorney Drew Schnack before Judge Jerry Hooker on April 7. He pled guilty to an amended charge of manufacturing or delivery of between 50 and 200 grams of cannabis, a Class 1 felony. Hooker sentenced him to 30 months of probation.
Two charges of manufacturing or delivering more than 5,000 grams of cannabis were dismissed as part of the plea negotiations.
Multiple illegal narcotics were found when deputies from the Brown County Sheriff’s Department executed a search warrant at 101 S. Chestnut on March 10. A drug investigation was initiated by the West Central Illinois Task Force.
After an initial investigation and reports, the Brown County Sheriff’s Department, with assistance from Brown County State’s Attorney Michael Hill, applied for and secured a search warrant that was executed by the sheriff’s department and members from the West Central Illinois Task Force.
Task force agents recovered the following suspected illegal narcotics from the residence.
- THC raw Cannabis 5304 grams (11.69 pounds)
- THC wax 41,978 grams (92 pounds)
- THC vapes 17,845 grams (39 pounds)
- Psilocybin Mushrooms 4,282 grams (9.4 pounds)
- Psilocybin powder 591 grams (1.3 pounds)
- THC edibles 11,948 grams (26.3 pounds)
Agents also seized approximately $18,600, two firearms, a 2019 GMC Arcadia, drug paraphernalia and drug packaging equipment.
