Beginning Tuesday, June 22 work will start on the reconstruction of Jersey Street from South 4th to South 5th, which will result in that street being closed to through traffic.  Closure is expected to last through October.

The project includes replacing the water main, manholes, pavement, sidewalks, and lighting along Jersey Street. The sidewalks need to be improved to comply with American’s with Disabilities Act requirements.

This area is directly to the south of the Dr. Richard Eells House and The Patio restaurant.

Motorists are asked to drive carefully near the work zone and to use an alternate travel route during this time.  Access to the various businesses shall be provided and it recommended to utilize nearby parking lots while parking on Jersey Street not allowed.
