South Eighth expected to be closed from R.J. Peters Drive to Jackson for two months
QUINCY — Construction on South Eighth Street from Harrison to Van Buren will begin on Wednesday, May 25.
South Eighth will be closed to traffic from R.J. Peters Drive to Jackson. Motorists should avoid South Eighth and detour around the closure via South 12th Street. The closure is expected to last for two months.
The closure will allow for the construction of a new water main, curb, gutter and sidewalks. This work is part of the overall project reconstructing South Ninth, Harrison and Van Buren in the area.
