Suspect in June 2022 burglary at Kohl’s arrested outside Kohl’s in Arlington Heights

QUINCY — A Chicago man wanted for burglary a year ago at the Kohl’s department store in Quincy was arrested Tuesday outside a Kohl’s in Arlington Heights. 

Officers with the Quincy Police Department responded to the Quincy Kohl’s at 2:11 a.m. on June 29, 2022, in reference to an alarm. They discovered the front west glass window had been shattered, and the store was entered. Officers discovered several jewelry cases were smashed,  and numerous items of jewelry had been taken. Kohl’s reported the total loss, combining the damage and merchandise taken, was more than $10,000.

A press release from the Quincy Police Department said the scene was processed, and several pieces of evidence were collected. After analyzing the evidence collected from the scene, officers identified John Signorile, 48, as the suspect. A warrant was issued on Jan. 4 for Signorile’s arrest for burglary and theft over $500.

Signorile was arrested Tuesday on his outstanding warrants in this case, along with a number of other warrants for similar crimes at Kohl’s locations throughout the Midwest.
