Teen girl from Pleasant Hill killed when her car is struck by vehicle crossing center line on Illinois 106

WINCHESTER, Ill. — A 19-year-old female from Pleasant Hill was killed in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday morning near Winchester.

The Illinois State Police reports a 2007 white Dodge Sprinter 2500 was traveling westbound on Illinois Route 106, and a 2004 gray Ford Mustang was traveling east. For unknown reasons, the Dodge Sprinter crossed the center line and struck the Ford Mustang. The driver of the Ford Mustang was pronounced deceased.  The driver of the Dodge Sprinter, a 47-year-old male from Wheaton, was uninjured and refused medical treatment on scene.

The names of the drivers in each car were not released by the Illinois State Police. Charges will be filed pending an investigation.
