Three arrested for unlawful use of weapons
QUINCY — Quincy Police made three arrests Wednesday, all involving teenagers carrying loaded handguns.
Around 3:30 p.m., officers with the Quincy Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of Oak. The driver was Lance Z. Keithley, 19, Quincy. During the stop, officers located a loaded 9mm handgun in Keithley’s waistband.
He was taken into custody without incident and lodged in the Adams County Jail for the offense of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon.
Then, at 10:20 p.m., officers with the same unit initiated a traffic stop near Seventh and Cherry of a vehicle occupied by two juveniles. During the stop, two loaded handguns were found in the vehicle. One of the two handguns had a defaced serial number.
The juveniles were taken into custody without incident and placed at the Adams County Juvenile Detention Center for the offense of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon.
