Three Pike County men awaiting court appearances for failing to register as sex offender

Three Pike County men are scheduled to be in court in the next few weeks as a result of their arrests for violating the Illinois Sex Offender Registration Act.

Chief Deputy Zack Orr with the Pike County Sheriff’s Department conducted criminal investigations in late 2023 and in 2024 and charged the following men for failing to register as a sex offender:

  • Christopher A. Ellinger, 45, of Griggsville. His next court appearance is set for Oct. 29.  
  • Patrick T.D. Cantwell, 29, of Pleasant Hill. His next court appearance is set for Dec. 3.
  • Jeremy B. Vogel, 21, of Griggsville. His next court appearance is set for Nov. 19.
