Tickets on sale now for Grammy winners Casting Crowns, who return to Quincy for March 2 concert
QUINCY — Grammy-winning multi-platinum group Casting Crowns will be back in Quincy after a 10-year absence for a concert at 7 p.m. n Saturday, March 2, in Morrison Theater at Quincy Junior High School.
The concert, entitled “An Evening With Casting Crowns,” comes as the band celebrates a milestone 20-year career. The evening’s performance will feature hit songs like “Scars In Heaven,” “Only Jesus,” “Nobody,” “Praise You In This Storm” and “East To West.”
“When we set out on this journey in 2003, we were the youth band from our church in Atlanta,” Casting Crowns lead singer/songwriter Mark Hall said in a press release. “We were amazed that we were even given the opportunity to record our songs and play them for the world. Now, 20 years later, we are still just as amazed that we have gotten to be a small part of people’s lives through the years with our stories and songs.”
Casting Crowns has more than 12 million albums sold, and they have received numerous Recording Industry Association of America certifications:

- two RIAA Platinum DVDs
- seven RIAA Gold® albums
- four Gold DVDs

Casting Crowns has been honored with four American Music Awards (out of seven total nominations), a Grammy award for their 2005 album “Lifesong” and eight additional Grammy nominations. The group has garnered 18 GMA Dove Awards, two Billboard Music Awards and 13 total Billboard Music Award nominations.
