UPDATE: Traffic accident Wednesday morning on Interstate 172 leaves one person dead
UPDATE: Adams County Coroner Scott Graham issued a press release at 1:15 p.m. Thursday identifying John R. Kincaid III of Quincy as the person who was pronounced dead at scene of the accident on Wednesday.
QUINCY — A person died in a traffic accident on Interstate 172 at Mile Marker 12 in Adams County on Wednesday morning.
The Adams County Coroner’s Office was dispatched to the accident and confirmed the fatality. Coroner Scott Graham said in a press release that the victim’s identification has not been released pending notification of family.
The coroner’s office received assistance from the Tri-Township Fire Department. It is assisting the Adams County Sheriff’s Department and the Illinois State Police with the investigation surrounding the death.
