Two arrested on weapons charges in Quincy’s northwest quadrant

QUINCY — Quincy Police arrested two teens Wednesday afternoon on weapons charges.

Just before 3:30 p.m., the Quincy Police Department responded to the 1000 block of North 5th Street for two individuals with firearms. Officers responded to the area and spoke to witnesses and were also able to obtain video surveillance from the incident.

Officers with the Quincy Police Department utilized Flock Safety technology and were able to identify a
suspect vehicle matching the description of the vehicle which was provided by witnesses.

Then, just after 4 p.m., a QPD officer Officer located the suspect vehicle in the 600 block of Lind Street. Officers determined the suspects were inside a home in that block, surrounded the residence and called the subjects out of the residence.

Both subjects eventually exited the residence and were taken into custody without incident. A search of
the residence resulted in the seizure of two firearms.

Tyler J Stroh, 19, of Springfield, was subsequently arrested for Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Unlawful Possession of Firearm, and Unlawful Possession of Ammunition. A juvenile was also taken into custody during the incident and was lodged at the Adams County Juvenile Detention Center.
