Two employees facing theft charges after allegedly stealing from Dollar General in LaHarpe

LaHARPE, Ill. — Two LaHarpe residents were arrested Tuesday, Sept. 12 and charged with theft, a class 3 felony. 

Dollar General regional management contacted the Hancock County Sheriff’s Department at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday to report employees who had stolen felony amounts from the store. An investigation, in cooperation with Dollar General management, was conducted. Arrests were made a short time later. 

Jonathan R. McSperritt, 31, and Kacie L. Dehaven, 28, were arrested and transported to the Hancock County Jail. Both remain in custody awaiting an initial court appearance.
