Two Hannibal men charged with receiving stolen property from multiple places

HANNIBAL, Mo. — Two Hannibal men were charged with two counts each of receiving stolen property after their arrests on Wednesday.

The 10th Judicial District of Marion County issued felony warrants Wednesday, May 15 on Cody S. Rickey, 33, of Hannibal, and Jeffrey L. Porter Jr., 37, of Hannibal. The warrants stem from a report was made with the Hannibal Police Department on Tuesday.

Officers with the Hannibal Police Department responded at 3:09 p.m. Tuesday to the 1700 block of Owens Avenue for a report of stealing. Witnesses described two males leaving the area with items that belonged to the railyard. 

The description of the males matched information officers had from previously reported thefts in Ralls County. Officers executed search warrants in the 900 block of Baker, where Rickey and Porter were taken into custody. Some of the items stolen from Owens Avenue and Ralls County were recovered, along with items believed to be methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. 

Officers later executed a search warrant in the 1100 block of Colfax, where additional stolen items were recovered. 

Rickey and Porter’s bonds were set at $25,000. Both are out on bond.
