Two injured after vehicle veers off street, crashes into parked car in Pleasant Hill

PLEASANT HILL, Ill. — Two people were injured in a three-vehicle accident on Tuesday in Pleasant Hill.
Pike County 911 received a call at 1:47 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, of a three-vehicle accident in the 100 block of Quincy in Pleasant Hill. An investigation by the Pike County Sheriff’s Department determined a 2012 Ford Utility driven by Jesse L. Beasley, 77, of Pearl, was traveling east on East Quincy. Beasley’s vehicle left the lane for what was called “unknown reasons” in a press release. It struck an unoccupied 2019 GMC Yukon, causing the GMC to move forward and strike an unoccupied parked 2022 Kia SUV.
The Pike County Ambulance Service transported Beasley and an unidentified passenger to Illini Community Hospital.
The Pleasant Hill Fire Department, Spring Creek Fire Department and the Pike County Ambulance Service assisted. The accident remains under investigation.
