Two injured when vehicle runs through stop sign Wednesday morning on Missouri Route 154

VANDALIA, Mo. — The drivers of two vehicles suffered minor injuries in a crash on Wednesday morning three miles north of Vandalia.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that a 2012 Chevrolet Impala, driven by a 20-year-old man from Vandalia, was headed south on Missouri Route 154 and failed to yield at a stop sign at 11:02 a.m. The Impala struck the side of an eastbound 2018 Jeep Wrangler driven by a 20-year-old woman from Troy. The Wrangler then overturned.

The woman, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by Van-Far Ambulance to Hannibal Regional Hospital. The man, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken by private vehicle to Hannibal Regional.

The Ralls County Sheriff’s Department, Perry Police Department and Van-Far Fire Department assisted.
