QUINCY — A Quincy man and a Fowler man were arrested Tuesday afternoon and charged with felony retail theft.

Officers with the Quincy Police Department were dispatched to Famous Footwear in the Quincy Town Center at approximately 12:08 p.m. for the report of a retail theft in progress. Upon arrival, deputies learned the suspects had fled the store on foot.

Officers pursued the suspects, and Nicholas E. Dellar, 25, of 1818 Adams was taken into custody without incident. However, Jaydon Hise, 23, of 1443 South Lakeshore Drive in Fowler, resisted and continued to flee. He ran through traffic multiple times in the area of 36th and Broadway before eventually being taken into custody inside Advanced Auto Parts, 3535 Broadway.

Dellar was charged with felony retail theft and released on a notice to appear.

Hise was taken into custody and lodged in the Adams County Jail on felony retail theft, possession of meth and resisting arrest, as well as outstanding Adams County warrants for petition to revoke — domestic battery and retail theft. He also was served a city ordinance violation for failure to appear for fighting.
