Two Quincy men safely escape after crash on Knapheide Road ends with vehicle submerged
QUINCY — Two Quincy men safely escaped a vehicle after it crashed Wednesday night and was submerged in water along Knapheide Road.
The Adams County Sheriff’s Department repoted a 2011 Toyota Camry driven by Tanner D.L. Bowen, 21, of Quincy was heading east on Knapheide Road, just west of Lyter Road. Bowen lost control of the vehicle, which left the south side of the road, went down an embankment and became submerged in water.
Bowen and Dakota A. Powell, 21, of Quincy, a passenger in the vehicle, got out of the vehicle and made it to dry land before officers arrived. The two men were taken to Blessing Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Sheriff’s Department said arrests are pending. The Tri-Township Fire Department and Ursa Fire Department provided assistance.
