Two Rivers Regional Council of Public Officials held a ribbon cutting Wednesday at its new location for the community service center at 706 Maine in Quincy. The new service center is in the former People’s Prosperity Bank location.

Programs like the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program, Percentage of Income Payment Plan, rental assistance, shelter programs, water/sewer costs assistance, prescription cost assistance and the weatherization program are run out of the community service center. Quincy and Adams County residents can call to schedule an appointment with the service staff or walk in to get help.

The move to 706 Maine gives the community services and weatherization departments a more visible presence in the community and offers easier access for clients needing assistance.

The first floor of the City Hall Annex, previously unused, was approved to be leased by Two Rivers Regional Council of Public Officials by the Quincy City Council at its Aug. 9 meeting.
