Adams-County-Sheriffs-Department

QUINCY –‑ Two passengers in a van involved Monday in a two-vehicle accident were taken to Blessing Hospital with serious injuries.

Deputies with the Adams County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched at approximately 2:48 p.m. on Monday, April 1, to the intersection of 24th Street and Nieders Lane. Both vehicles were discovered to have damages that disabled them, causing them to be towed.

It was later discovered that Eric R. Green, 52, of Quincy, the driver of a black 2006 Hummer was trying to turn left onto 24th Street from Nieders Lane. Green did not observe a 2010 Dodge van, driven by Bradley R. Fink, 42, of Hannibal, Mo., southbound on 24th Street. The Hummer struck the van.

Two occupants of the van – Amanda Pugh, 41, of Hannibal, and a 12-year-old female – were transported by EMS to Blessing Hospital for evaluations. Both drivers were given citations.
