Two women arrested in New London for stealing truck, firearms out of St. Louis County; meth found during search

NEW LONDON, Mo. — Two women were arrested Monday after allegedly stealing a truck and possessing drugs.

Deputies with the Ralls County Sheriff’s Department were called to 13298 Potter Drive for a suspicious vehicle report at approximately 3:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24. 

Upon arrival, deputies observed an older green Chevrolet truck with a trailer attached.  The truck and trailer were loaded with items.  Two white females, Jody M. Hunter, 50, from St. Louis and Mandy S. Holt, 40, from Imperial, Mo., were contacted on the property and detained.

During an investigation, deputies discovered most of the items in the truck and trailer were stolen from 13298 Potter Drive. The trailer was reported stolen out of St. Louis County, and four grams of methamphetamines were located in the truck.

Hunter was arrested and charged with felony stealing, stealing of firearms, possession of a controlled substance, receiving stolen property and possession of burglary tools.

Holt was arrested and charged with felony stealing, stealing of firearms and possession of burglary tools.

Both females are lodged in the Marion County Jail pending the state prosecutor’s review of the case.
