QUINCY — Robert Wyatt is leaving Quincy University after four years as vice president of advancement. He was responsible for fundraising, alumni relations, marketing and communications at QU.

“Dr. Wyatt has served during a time of record-setting fundraising for the university,” QU President Brian McGee said in a press release. “Even as we continue to experience rapid change in higher education, we appreciate what has been accomplished during Dr. Wyatt’s years in leadership at Quincy University.”

Fundraising at Quincy University flourished during Wyatt’s tenure. As announced a few months ago, Quincy University already has exceeded its previous overall single-year fundraising record during the current academic year, with more than $13.7 million raised thus far in 2024-25. QU’s only other year to exceed $10 million in donations occurred in 2021-22 when $10.4 million was raised.

During Wyatt’s vice presidency, the university also set new annual records for giving to its QU Fund, with more than $1.4 million raised in 2023-24.

Wyatt came to Quincy University in 2021 after a career as a professor of accounting, business school dean and university president. Prior to his time in Quincy, he served for more than 10 years as president of Coker University (formerly Coker College) in South Carolina.

A search for Wyatt’s successor will begin shortly. Questions about the Office of University Advancement should be directed to communityrelations@quincy.edu.
