Winchester man wanted on warrants in four counties arrested Tuesday in Pike County

ROCKPORT, Ill. — Zack Orr, chief deputy with the Pike County Sheriff’s Department, conducted a traffic stop at 4:27 p.m. Tuesday, June 27, in the 300 block of Walnut Street in Rockport on a silver 2007 Chevrolet Silverado.

After an investigation, the driver, Gregory D. Williams, 53, of Winchester was arrested on the following charges:

  • Felony driving while license revoked (10-14 past convictions),
  • Operating an uninsured motor vehicle,
  • Wanted on warrant-Sangamon County, Illinois,
  • Wanted on warrant-Morgan County, Illinois,
  • Wanted on warrant-Jefferson County, Illinois,
  • Wanted on warrant-McDonough County, Illinois.

Williams was taken into custody without incident. He is lodged in the Pike County Jail.
