DAILY DIRT: Ahh … the life of a star: Peach-colored toilet paper and rose petals in the toilet bowl
Daily Dirt for Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2024
I’m kind of partial to Jack Nicholson’s demand … Welcome to today’s three thoughts that make up Vol. 1,131 of The Daily Dirt.
1. It’s no secret celebrities can have rather unusual demands.
Here’s some more proof:
- Barbra Streisand always demanded her dressing rooms have peach-colored toilet paper and rose petals in the toilet bowl.
- Vin Diesel, Jason Statham and The Rock all have clauses in their contracts that do not permit them to lose any “fights” so they can maintain their “tough guy” images.
- Samuel L. Jackson has a clause in all of his contracts that permits him time to play golf twice a week.
- Jack Nicholson had designated time off to attend Los Angeles Lakers games.
- Queen Latifah has a stipulation that whatever character she is playing cannot be killed off in any movie — so she can be featured in any sequel.
- The Contracts of Angelina Jolie and Nicole Kidman have contract inclusions that they must wear wigs in all of their films.
I would have demanded burgers and fries served on set at least once a day.
2. Did you know (Part 206)
- That Oldsmobile is widely credited with developing the first muscle car — the 1949 Oldsmobile Rocket.
- That Forbes magazine lists Elon Musk ($195 billion), Jeff Bezos ($194 billion) and Mark Zuckerberg ($177 billion) as America’s three wealthiest persons for 2024. (For the record, Zuckerberg was 23 when he earned his first billion.)
- That Shaun Cassidy’s “That’s Rock and Roll” was actually a cover of the same song by Eric Carmen.
- That “Mama Told Me” by Three Dog Night was originally recorded by Eric Burdon and the Animals.
- That it was 21 years ago that “Save A Horse, Ride A Cowboy” by Big and Rich debuted on country radio.
3. According to EssayHub, the following are the most dangerous U.S. college campuses:
- 1. Michigan
- 2. Ohio State (No. 2 again to the Wolverines)
- 3. Stanford
- 4. Iowa
- 5. New Mexico
- 6. Auburn
- 7. Alabama
- 8. Arizona
- 9. Michigan State
- 10. Texas A&M
