DAILY DIRT: How many times a day do you come in contact with the ‘Lee’ family?

Daily Dirt for Wednesday, April 23, 2025
I seem to run into the nephew living in disgrace way too much … Welcome to today’s three thoughts that make up Vol. 1,263 of The Daily Dirt
1. We’ve all met them, more than likely on a daily basis.
Oh, you know them very well. They are members of the esteemed Lee family. They regularly work their way into our lives.
Most of us know the cousin who cannot take a joke and you have to watch what you say. Yes, that would be Serious Lee.
Then there is the long-lost brother with the attitude: Sarcastic Lee.
And don’t forget that uncle you can always predict: Usual Lee.
It’s not hard to remember the nephew who lives in disgrace: Shameful Lee.
Or the grandfather who has a difficult time understanding metaphors: Literal Lee.
How about the aunt who is always running late and tends to arrive at the last minute: Sudden Lee.
Then there is the sister who is quite sure of herself: Definite Lee.
Let’s not forget the long-lost brother who is a vegetarian, good ole Broco Lee.
And the other long-lost brother who referees athletic events: Official Lee.
Everyone’s always glad to see kindly the great-grandfather whose presence makes everyone’s day: Happy Lee.
Of course, there’s the grandmother everyone adores because she is so precise and to the point: Exact Lee.
And unfortunately, every family has a black sheep it tries to avoid and/or hide: Ug Lee.
2. Did you know (Part 341)
- That “nomophobia” is the fear of not having a mobile phone.
- That “Alice in Wonderland syndrome” is a neurological condition that makes people feel larger or smaller than they actually are. The syndrome can also affect the perception of time, which seems to move faster or slower than usual.
- That the Colby Jack Pub Burger is returning to Culver’s.
- That Krispy Kreme has a new cheesecake doughnut collection now available.
- That after more than a decade away, Dodge is (hopefully) coming back to NASCAR. The Dodge Ram will be returning to the Truck Series in 2026, if all goes well. Dodge is also hoping to return to the Cup Series in the not-too-distant future. Dodge last competed in NASCAR in 2012.
3. There were no new additions to the The Great Plate Debate IV medal stand over the past week, but there were still a number of license plates found that were a combination of creative and/or comical:
- LAHLAH 1
- YIPIKIO (this was a South Dakota plate)
- QCY MOM 3
- BKWRM 67
- AXONE
- SNOWGO
- QY SHOT 1
- GOODNZ 2
- IMBET 71
- SOONERZ
- BOOKS 78
Holding steady from last week are these medal winners:
Gold medal: ITS MINE
Silver medal: SPOKEN 4
Bronze medal: MILK DUD
